‘Release from Heaven’ wins Italian award

Iranian film ‘Release from Heaven’ by Ali Noori Oskouie has won the Best Animation Award at the Italian Oniros Film Awards.

‘Release from Heaven’ won the award for the October, 2017 edition of the monthly held international cinematic competition.

Set in a war torn country, the animation narrates the story of a female writer and teacher, Sareh who has to accompany two of her students on a life changing journey to find their fathers.

‘Release from Heaven’ is a mixture of fantasy and reality in which the teacher tries to tell stories for her students to encourage them, but she finds out that the heroes of her stories are real.

The Oniros Film Awards is a monthly and annual IMDb qualifying competition based in La Thuile, Italy, which celebrates films from all around the world with awards in different categories and genres.

The OFA allows filmmakers to submit their projects to get it judged by industry professionals and compete with other talented filmmakers.

The mission of the competition is to discover high quality and ambitious films, to promote filmmakers’ works and to help them realize their dreams.
